SPRING TERM '24This exciting opportunity gives participants the chance to develop technical skills, confidence and creativity through film.
Meeting on one evening a week during term time, the group is led by our experienced team who are eager to share their knowledge and skills. Participants will be guided to explore all aspects of the filmmaking process. Previous participants have conceived and developed their own scripts, shot & edited a short drama and more recently researched, planned & produced a music video. They have also enjoyed sessions focused on the various processes of filmmaking including camerawork, video and audio editing, lighting and graphic design. For this term, young filmmakers will plan, adapt, shoot and edit a short script. Focusing on how camera angles, editing styles and music, can impact their film. The group is open to new members and beginners are welcome! Suitable for academic years 8-13, ages 12 - 17. Sessions will run weekly on a Wednesday evening from 10th January to 20th March, 6.00pm - 7.30pm. Please note there won't be a session on Wednesday 14th February due to half term. Term fees: £70 for the whole term paid at time of booking or in two instalments. Discounts: A bursary rate of £35 each term is available for successful applicants. If you would like to discuss fees, or apply for a bursary, please get in touch. Taster session - If you haven't attended Mayflower & City Eye Young Filmmakers before book a free taster session to see what the workshops involve, without committing to the full term. |
