"Just a word of thanks to you and your team for such a great event during last week’s half term. My son had a really marvelous time and has been telling everyone how brilliant the day was. He would definitely like to come back in the summer.
I can see why your activities are so popular and the children like to return. You have such a professional team. Thanks to everyone." "So impressed with what the kids achieved in such a short time, so another huge thank you to your dedicated and skilled team for a fantastic day." Easter Holiday Animation Workshop!
This Easter, we are working with the John Hansard Gallery to help young people explore model making to create a fictional world, developing characters and an environment, exploring how this world functions and thrives.
Working alongside model maker, set designer and animator Nathan Ward and City Eye's own Aaron West, you will create people using cardboard construction and bring your characters to life by filming a day in their life! Inspired by David Blandy’s exhibition Atomic Light and the exploration of the climate crisis and our environment, this workshop will highlight what our planet may look like if we don’t act now! We hope that you will: Bring your enthusiasm and work hard as part of a team! Be willing to try new techniques and skills Be respectful and mindful of the gallery, staff, artwork, and other young people taking part in the workshop! Be available to attend both days! |
Aged 11-16? Join us for a free two-day Easter Holiday workshop to create a futuristic world!
13th & 14th April, 10am-4:30pm If you would like to book onto this workshop, or have any questions, please email f.k.thomas@soton.ac.uk. |
